Almost nothing. There are no accounts, no newsletter and no tracking cookies. Three things touch data at all:

• The contact form. If you write to me, the form sends your name, email address and message to my inbox. That is the only personal data you can leave here.
• Spam protection. Cloudflare Turnstile runs an invisible check when you submit the form, so bots do not flood the inbox.
• Analytics. Umami counts visits without cookies and without identifying anyone: no names, no fingerprints, only aggregate numbers like page views.

• Answering you. Form data is used to reply and to discuss a potential project, under Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR: steps taken before entering a contract.
• Keeping the site working. Spam filtering and error handling rest on legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f).
• Understanding traffic. Anonymous, aggregate statistics rest on the same legitimate interest and involve no personal data.

A few services process data on the site's behalf, under data-processing agreements. Transfers outside the EU rest on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

• Vercel. Hosts the site.
• Resend. Delivers the contact-form email.
• Cloudflare. Provides the Turnstile spam check.
• Umami. Runs the cookieless analytics.

No data is sold, and nothing is shared for advertising.

Contact messages stay in the inbox for as long as the conversation needs, and no longer than 12 months after it ends, unless we start a project together. Analytics data is anonymous from the moment it is collected, so there is nothing personal to delete.

Under the GDPR you can ask at any time what data this site holds about you, and have it corrected, deleted, restricted or exported. Write to hello@romanrobert.com and it will be handled directly.

If you believe your data was mishandled, you can also complain to the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP, at dataprotection.ro.

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner. What runs instead:

• A first-visit flag. The browser's sessionStorage remembers that the intro animation already played in this tab. It identifies nobody and expires when the tab closes.
• Turnstile. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary token while verifying that a form submission is human.
• Umami. The analytics run without cookies entirely.
